AEEF will be used to invest in a multitude of energy projects wherein we will either take a minority or majority equity stake. We also intend to use debt from various lenders to fund the remaining part of the purchase/acquisition price. The funds will be utilized for existing as well as greenfield projects with a minimum Internal rate of return (IRR) of 15%.

Currently in Australia and India, several tenders for large commercial solar energy projects have been issued by the central and state governments as well as private sector entities and these provide a very favorable business opportunity. The large megawatt size solar photovoltaic power projects in Australia and in the Asian Countries, particularly India, have a term of 25 years or more with an option of further renewal. For greenfield projects, AEEF will partner up with equipment manufacturers and EPCM companies to build and operate the project. For existing projects, we will be doing a full due diligence and taking a stake in accordance with our investment philosophy. There are also investment opportunities in the coal sector in  Indonesia and Australia. Subject to these opportunities meeting our stringent investment criteria, AEEF will take a majority or minority stake taking a long term view of 2-7 years prior to divestment.

 We will also be reviewing investment opportunities in other energy sectors and make decisions on a case by case basis.
